Wind and tide were high at Muriwai beach this afternoon as we ventured up to fly kites. Higher than expected, and the wind proved a little too strong even for the small kites we were packing.
Still, with two young girls and a high energy foxie in tow, there was fun to be had adventuring in the challenging conditions.
And my man finally had proof the last repairs for his overheating engine had done the trick. Not only did it make the trip up the beach without blowing its top, it stepped up to perform under pressure, when called on to rescue a fellow beach driver in distress.
Some odd interference or glitch in my camera caused some interesting effects in these last shots as we were leaving.
